Blogging is tough

Yeah, teh blogging is like teh works. It was different when I was removed from my normal enviroments and it was like a life line. Now that I'm back and have been back for a while, its really easy not to blog. Sorry for that. I'm working on it really.

Finished the Fight

So finished up Halo 3 today. I missed the big, huge, epic battle that is in all of the ads. I was looking forward to that, but I guess it got cut. Here is the perfect review:

Yep, liked it. I just wish they spent more time on the single player and less on the multi.

That is the points of a spelling bee!

I'm back from due to a rather strange turn of events. I'm glad I'm back. Now onward to the blogging!

Epcot Servo is back from Disneyland, check out his coverage of the trip. He also made it back in time for Epcots big 25th. I really miss old school Epcot. Anyways, Halo 3 is fun but its no Bioshock. Thats about all I got right now.

More of the same...

El blogo is a going to be really thin on posts for the next 5 days, MADNESS insues. Just more of the same really. The Love of My Life told me that Alex is having a party/get together for her Bday coming up, I wish I could be there for that. Another in along list of things I'm missing/going to miss. Will post more if I get the chance.

Is this post a shark or what?

Well work is work, more of the same really. Owls are awesome by the way, but they kinda make me sad because they remind me of Lord Fluffykins aka Boykins the Lord of all Fluff.

So as I type this the Love of my Life is telling me of Kimmie's Birthday get together. I MISS EVERYBODY. Again I forgot to take some more pics of my whereabouts, sorry. Oops I lied, I do have a few pics of today. First up this shot of the theater, at the time the photo was taken, the song Hybrid Rainbow by the Pillows is blasting out the speakers. All of the Texas State Fair had to listen to my J-Rock all day! HAHAHA HAHAHAHA! Take that you cowboys! Really that was the best part of the trip so far. Anywho we have a request for a shot of me smiling, to do such a shot I had to be on the phone to the Love of my Life.

Here is the view from my console.

BOIDS! I'm still amazed at how I ended up in this place.
This is the camera I've been using, its a Sony HDV. Domo-kun is a natural behind the camera, until he took a bite of it. Sadly the camera is still okay. Well I'm off to dreamland. The Mom and the Monkey are off to DisneyLand in the wee hours of the morning. For a small window of time they well be in the same state. I hope they have good time at Disneyland, luckies.

Scaring the straights...

I enjoy my non-conformity, more than enjoy really, more like rally behind my non-conformity. I listen to obscure music, enjoy obscure books, and play obscure games.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The Road Not Taken -= Robert Frost=-

Really its Domo-kun posting all the Frost, look I got a picture to prove it! It proves that large furry things really know their lit. Anyways, Domo-kun pointed out the similarities of my life with Frost's poem. I'd say that I agree, if everyone goes right, I'm going left. Its tough to be so out there. I admit sometimes there is weakness in me, sometimes I want to conform just to make people shut up. If you hear me listening to some obscure song, by all means ask what it is. I got no problem with that, its when they ask something like that and then give the look of "ah thats wierd". It gets really old. Really Really Really old. I guess being cut off from the few that really understand me in this world and stuck dealing with the "straights" is dragging on my soul. I'd love to talk to someone about Warcraft or Dune or hell just plain old Star Wars would be great to talk about. I crave geek interaction I guess. Thank goodness for the Love of my life and my Brother for having somebody to talk geek to when I needed it most. Speaking of which, the Bro just dropped me a line informing of Halo 3's release on teh east coast. Lucky bastards getting to play! I won't get to finish the fight until the end of October, the level of blowing on that is off the blow-o-meter. I want me some Halo deathmatch, that would calm the shakes.

Domo was nice enough to get up and get a bit of breakie going this morning for me. I did get out and get some new pics taken for you guys.

Thats me sitting in the giant APC (I think its a Tahoe) chevy gave us to run around in, the thing is freaking huge. We stopped at 7/11, I am not amused. I did grab the following pic of Downtown Dallas as viewed from the Apts.
And yeah, I'm really tired. Worked from 8 to about 10:30ish Dallas time so 9-11:30 normal people time. I post some more tomorrow of course. This is really helping me from feeling so alone. Thanks everybody.

100% Blog Proof

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

-=Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening by Robert Frost=-

So of course that last bit has been playing through my head over and over again, thanks Death Proof. So work is still MADNESS. I spent to much of what little free time I have here dealing with it. To sum up, They need a stage tech, not an INFORMATION TECH. 2 different jobs there. Lets move on, shall we?

I was lazy and didn't get any pics taken. Me and Domo did watch the Star Wars Family Guy, it was awesome. Domo did get a great self shot of the two of us while I was on the phone.
I am Looking forward to watching the new [Adult Swim] shows tonight, w00tage. I really miss my Fel Flame. Alright I'm going to go zone out.

Veterans of Interplanetary Wars

First

Now that I got that out of the way, we can move on to Day 2 of the MADNESS. Really today was the first day of work. Lets see if I can sum it up in one word, LIES. So I should have been shooting today, but instead I was doing stage tech crap setting up video consoles, remote consoles, and sound stuff. I'm not a theater guy, used to be, but not anymore. I don't want to do it. I'm a web/designer/Film guy. Not let me go run your wires and screw shit in guy. My Father in is Dad wisdom says I shouldn't let one crap day of work get me. I agree (/agree) with Him (LostHorizon agrees with Dad). Oh I really want to keep talking in emotes, but you'd all kill me. Anyways, work is supposed to suck, hence the work bit. I'm just upset because I'm away from my loved ones and friends and I'm doing stuff I never wanted to do. Any one of those things I could take by themselves, together its just about too much to take. Of course I'm going to stick with it but next year maybe very different. Could have been worse, I could of been fighting the Covenant. Wait that sounds awesome.

Here is a quick and dirty Panaramic shot of the House of the theater, rather interesting locale really.

Domo-kun lucked out and slept all day. Lucky bastard. Check back in a few and I Should have some more interesting pics of today up in my Epson album and here. Until later.

Director's Cut: Day 2 Photo album is here.

like the Goonies....

Indeed I am having an adventure like the Goonies! Instead of pirates, I guess I'll have cowboys? Anyways I really gotta thank the Love of my life for getting Domo-kun to join me on my trip, he's helping me blog. Not only is he a great blogger but he'll be keeping me sane while I'm away from support group.

So my Dad and my Brother dropped me off at the airport, got there with plenty of time, Domo-kun got bored so he started reading my book, leaving me to go through all the "what ifs" in my head. Though Domo-kun is great traveling companion, he isn't much of a talker. Got on the plane and had kinda of critical loss of cool as we screamed through the clouds while the Porco Rosso started to play on the iPod. Really started to tear up rather fierce. It had to have been a mash up of alot of thinks really. Leaving all I Love behind I guess can do that to you. I already can't wait to get back and its only day 1, well fuck. Like a million days to go. Luckily the room has got cartoon network so I won't go to the very last level of Hell. Anyways the second leg of the flight was in a little commuter plane, got off on the tarmac like it was 1959. Wanted to get some pics of Dallas but it was a whirlwind when my feet hit dirt. I'm pretty tired we start the setup tomorrow, I'll get to play with a Jumbo-tron. I'm going to try really damn hard to get warcraft up there on the crazy-huge screen. Anyways call is at 7:45 Texan time. MADNESS. Any who, I think I'm going to zone out now. You can check out pics of my place here. Props of the maddest type to my brother and his mad skills with that Epson photo sharing site, its teh awesome. Speaking of Epcot Servo, check out his site, Epcot Servo's Updates. He's headed off to mecca aka Disneyland like next week, so check his blog for some badass DL stuff. Anyways I'm tired and already a little lonely (Domo-kun went to bed already). I'll keep you posted as news comes in. Stay tune, same blogtime, same blogchannel.

Domo-kun's big adventure!

I'm very lucky! Domo-kun has decided to join me on my trip. First he helped me pack, he wanted to bring the guitar but I didn't think it would fit. In hindsight, I really should have started packing earlier. I can tell the reason why I didn't, which is the fact that I can't bear to think about being apart from the ones I care about most. Especially the Love of my life (I'd link a pic here of the Love of My Life but she has photo-posted-on-the-webs-phobia.) I on the other hand don't! Proof is the fact that those are indeed my favorite Ghost boxers that Domo-kun was nice enough to pack for me! Believe me you'll be seeing enough of my roguish good looks in future posts. Hint, Watch for Mutton Chops! I really should continue packingbut I think Domo has things covered....Next time we talk I'll be Dallas, oh boy.

Flying Meat!

Went to Kobe Steakhouse today, woah was it good! My only complaints are too many people having birthdays there and way to many drunks. All that could have been because it was a Saturday night. Either way, can't wait to go back.

Finally got on the Tabula Rasa beta, first let me say that it is very rough around the edges. I'd say right now it plays like a second revision internal beta, not a "Game is gold and ships in under a month beta." Now once you get over all the bugs, errors, etc. they game has some good ideas for a sci-fi MMO. Of course they borrow from WoW, but how can you not? They set the bar for modern MMO's. With the fall of classic Star Wars Galaxies I've really wanted a sci-fi MMO to play again that didn't involve mining an asteroid for 12 hours. In six months Tabula Rasa will be great, all it has to do is survive the launch. Sadly, the only way they will have a good launch is if they have a hell of a patch lined up for day one.

Jam Sessions is teh roxors.

Bleach by the gallon

Holy crap Bleach is good, not like "oh my this is good" good, more like I HAVE ASCENDED TO A NEW LEVEL OF BEING GOOD. Not since the Kyoto ark of Kenshin have I enjoyed every page of a manga. Really. Tite Kubo, you sir are awesome. I popped out some panels of one of my favorite fights, Howl Zabimaru! Roar Zangetsu! Kubo's style has really evolved into something amazing and iconic.

Work is still strange, I have no idea what is going. They give me work I finish it in seconds (almost, really!) and then I'm not sure what they think. Should I make it seem like it takes longer? That seems so wrong, but why should I work more just because I'm quicker? Salary work is tough. Enough of real world crap, I'm going to go train so I can achieve Bankai!

Work is wierd...

I wonder while I sit amongst my various projects, if that when work was first conceived if it felt pretty much as it does now? I believe I'm focused here on the wrong angle of work, what I meant to say is the concept of employment. Did the first caveman that worked for another caveman like is job? Did he get paid in rocks? Did he have casual fridays? I wonder how many people really enjoy there job? I must be having second thoughts about leaving the employ of the Disney. I always thought I was going to be a lifer, but in the end I needed money and not to be managed by a bunch of suck up ass hats. It was the right choice to make, my new job is with a good company that does good works and is run by smart people. This is the perks of working for a small business with global aspirations. I must be having trouble dealing with not working for a house hold name or maybe that for my entire childhood all I wanted to do was work for Disney. While my peers wanted to be firemen and doctors I wanted to work at Horizons. Thats it, the root of why I feel apprehensive about my new employ. Its tough when your dream is to work a dead end, next to nothing pay job at a theme park attraction that doesn't exist. I know what your thinking "Why not become an imagineer?" Firstly, I don't have the capital to be able to do 6 years in school for a job that can be laid off at anytime and secondly they barely ever hire Imagineers now. The biggest "if only" is "If only Disney treated there cast members better, instead of treating them like disposable robots." Aye, thats the rub! I wanted to work for them but I feel like they wouldn't let me. Hopefully I'll be able to work for Disney again, with a real job with real hours, and real pay. I'm not going to hold my breath. Thats more than enough of that rant. Just thinking about it gets me all depressed.

On a lighter note, picked up Mushishi volume 2 (anime) last night. I haven't gotten a chance to read volume 2 of the manga, so I'm looking forward to seeing something brand new. Still no Eureka or Haruhi. Grr. Also no Halo actionclixs or Jam Sessions. I was able to get Fry and Zoidberg last night which was bonus. Fry comes with a bunch of accessories, a holophoner, a awesome raygun thing, some sardines, and a can of Slurm! His articulation is also more than I expected, all in all a good figure. Zoidberg so far is the best looking figure, I just wish he would have come with more accessories than just his stethoscope. I would have like to seen him come with the box that contains Universe A, a head fin so you could make him look its mating season, a his cardboard business card. Universe A Zoidberg and regular Zoidberg look great together. Each figure comes with a piece of the Robot Devil which is going to make an awesome figure, must collect them all! Well I think thats enough jibber jabber for today (Foo!).

"Beginings are delicate times."

Ah Dune, you've always got the perfect quote for everything that may come up. I always thought Duncan Idaho kicked so much ass, I always wanted his job. Well maybe not his job in God Emperor of Dune but sometimes I thought it was so appealing. Speaking of jobs I started my new job offically today! Madness! There is that saying "The cart can't come before the horse" or some such, well thats about what happened today. I am the IT guy without any IT! Really! Show up to work expecting to do some organizing and networking and guess what? No damn machine! Some backstory for your reading pleasure, Friday the 21st I fly out to Dallas to help put on there big show (really really big shoe). So they pack up and send out all of there machines for the show. Riddle me this Batman! Why do you need 2 G5s and 2 PCs? Tune in to find out! So now I'm presented with a hell of a condrum, Do I go in to work to do nothing or do stay home and work and actually get stuff done? I know what I want do. I've never been one to have my time wasted.

Now for real news, Halo ActionClix hit the streets today (w00t). I'm looking foward to some of that. Bad news in the world of releases is that they are messing around with Jam Sessions release date which blows, I want me some Jam Sessions now! As for anime releases go the last disk of Haruhi should be out as well as Eureka volume 9, but alas our search has been in vain.

Watched Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow yesterday-ish. I enjoyed it. Naruto is the prime example of fast food anime, when you need an awesome ninja battle and some bad ass technique names poof its there for you, but your really don't get much back. I love me some secret techniques!

Will work 4 anime is up and running!

Well here is my attempt to start blogging again! Really I thought I was done with this phase. So here I am again attempting to document my life but this time it will be at least a little interesting!

Tomorrow I will post all the reasons why said "blog" will be interesting this time around, in the mean time I intend to sleep.
